FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Memphis, TN -- October 31, 2005 -- MemphisRap.com, has unveiled a new version
of its Home Page (http://www.memphisrap.com) along with it's new video-on-demand
tv site MemphisRapTV.com. The beta versions were rolled out on October 29, 2005
focusing on enhancements in design, navigation and services.
The MemphisRap.com Home Page is now easier to navigate and focuses more on bringing
attention to the numerous media and entertainment services the site has to offer
including a new feature entitled "Tickets" providing information and links to
buy tickets through numerous venues in the Memphis, TN area. "I felt as though it
was time to really use our mass entertainment audience reach to attract more people
into the city for the events held here. Not enough promoters here attempt to do that,
or maybe they just never had a supportive media outlet for urban events. Either way,
we're trying to change all that," states M Town. "Not only are we preparing to work
with promoters to attract out-of-town people, but we're also gonna work to bring
out-of town promoters here as well. Our new video site will support alot of that effort."
MemphisRapTV.com not only offers on-demand streaming videos, but also comes equipped
with a viewer video rating system, video reviews, and video codes so that viewers who
have their own websites can place the videos airing on MemphisRapTV.com directly on
their own websites. "It's a new trend, and we try to always keep up with the latest
new things that internet surfers are into. Allowing users to put videos on their sites
is bandwidth consuming however, we have an ample amount of bandwidth now plus we are
preparing to get even more for the estimated growth but we're just happy to give fans
what they want while helping to get our artists, events and city in general 10 times
more publicity through the videos that we air."
The site reports that with the new video site it will still not censor it's content,
but as always will make wise choices in placing content in featured areas of the site
and/or on landing pages where commercial content is covered.

2. Koopsta Knicca confronts Three 6 Mafia on FOX News and Juicy J responds

November 09, 2005 - (Memphis, TN) In a recent interview with FOX News
Channel 13 in Memphis, ex-member of the infamous Three Six Mafia Robert
Cooper, aka Koopsta Knicca, tells FOX that Three 6 Mafia is trying to
sabotage his music career. The accusations are new but the controversy
comes at no surprise since just last year, as reported on MemphisRap.com,
an on-the-edge airing of Koopsta Knicca responding to a Crunchy Blac diss
on underground video show RapTV occurred which caused Time Warner to
temporarily pull the plug on all Rap shows on it's local cable network
in Memphis. The shows later returned but were moved from 9 til 11 pm and
placed on after-midnite time slots. "I played a big part in getting
Memphis on the Map!", states Koopsta Knicca. "I can't get Hot 107.1 to
play my songs because of them." Koop claims that Three 6 Mafia pays
certain DJs at Hot 107.1 FM, one of Memphis' most popular and first
Hip-Hop radio stations, to not play his music and others. When asked
about the allegations, Hot 107.1's General Manager says that Koopsta
Knicca's accusations are simply far-fetched and says DJ's don't get to
choose who plays what songs and who doesn't. Yet Koopsta Knicca still
alleges Three 6 is quote "..brainwashing DJ's in both Memphis and ATL
(Atlanta)."

New Orleans rapper Tab ‘Turk’ Virgil, one of the original Hot Boys and solo
artist on Cash Money Records, was sentenced on October 26th to 10 years in
federal prison on weapons charges stemming from a shooting in the Hickory
Hill district of Memphis, TN last year. Turk was charged with shooting SWAT
Team member Chris Harris 4 times.

Three 6 Mafia - Most Known Unknown
Hypnotize Minds/Columbia/Sony - 2005
DJ Paul has sort of a good point on the intro to the new Three Six album,
"the Most Unknowns." Inarticulate as he may be in his argument, he's right
about one thing: The Triple-Six is one rap group that has had a tremendous
amount of influence and success in the rap game (especially in the South),
but has enjoyed little to none of the same recognition and credibility that's
been assigned to Houston artists such as Mike Jones and Atlanta artists such
as Young Jeezy.
This is a little difficult to explain. Three six has enjoyed enormous success
in Southern markets such as Birmingham, Nashville, Kentucky, and of course
Memphis, from which they hail. (Their website proudly declares that their
last album was the number one seller in Paducah, Kentucky, a fact to be proud
of for sure). So maybe its a regional thing; perhaps Three Six has been unable
to push their music beyond their traditional Southern market. This argument is
hard to buy, though, given that the group has been managed by the
nationally-reaching Violator management for the past several years.

Hustle & Flow - Soundtrack
Atlantic/WEA/Grand Hustle - 2005
I was both impressed and disappointed with the soundtrack to Hustle & Flow.
Let's run'em down starting with track 1:
"I'm a King" ft PSC and Lil Scrappy has a crunk track produced by Lil Jon.
And Lil Scrappy really came hard on dat thang mayne along with T.I. and PSC.
"Swerve" with Lil' Boosie and Webbie was aiight. Dat nigga voice is irratating
though. They really could've kept this off the soundtrack.
DJ Pual and Juicy J produced the track "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" featuring
Shug and Terrance Howard aka D Jay peformed it.
