December 13, 2005 - (Memphis, TN) Power 99 Hip-Hop radio station "WMPW-FM"
and MemphisRap.com, both known for their appeal to hip-hop/rap fans of all
ages, have entered into a partnership which is a first for any internet
local mainstream rap/hip-hop site.

"Power 99 and MemphisRap.com have such similar goals and demographics that
we feel this is a match made in heaven," said Charla Littlejohn, MemphisRap.com.
"This partnership will just enhance our relationship and introduce new audiences
to both outlets since we both have a unique means of connecting with rap/hip-hop

2. Pioneers of Memphis Rap Brung Together To Give Hope For The Holidays To Needy Families

In an effort to support families during the holiday season and also to honor
the legendary pioneers of the Memphis Rap/Hip-Hop scene, Unified Memphis Artist
Association is holding it's first fundraiser and awards show "Hope For The Holidays".
Founder Jackson Brown and former Blackground Records Executive stated, "The main
concept of the Unified Memphis Artist Association for it's first project is to get
artists together and to get also the artists themselves, businesses and even other
families to sponsor a family in need during the holidays. We're trying to help at
least 50 families and possibly more. Anyone can sponsor a family just by either
calling the radio stations and letting them know or just by calling me".

The event will be honoring those such as Eightball & MJG, Three 6 Mafia, Jazze Pha,
Ray The J, Freakmaster, Gangsta Pat and many many others. There will also be
performances by the legendary "Scarface" Al Kapone (Hustle & Flow music producer
"Whoop That Trick"), Gangsta Boo (formerly of Three 6 Mafia), Mista Ian, Shane
Gutta (Cash Money Records), Young Snipe, DJ Squeeky and more.

Yo what up readers this ya boy GT and I got a chance to sit in on the newest
radio show in da city called Indie Radio which airs on WHRK twice a month on
Saturday @ 10 a.m.. "Memphis needs more shows to expose Memphis artists since
we are the next on the amp to blow," says Devin Steel. This is not just a show
for artist but for producers and industry executives as well. This will open
eyes to the general public about Memphis rap meaning it's also educational.

Now this show featured one of the pioneers of Memphis rap, Mr. Lyrical Drive-By
himself, aka Mr. Hustle n Flow Al Kapone. I got plenty plenty much respect and
love for this mayne cuz he's like one the pioneers in Memphis that's still doing
his thang. With new singles Grey Goose and What they doin' featuring Yo Gotti,
it's no reason why Al is still in da Game.

MemphisRap.com has relaunched its music website with a brand new online music
charts located at http://music.memphisrap.com. The new online music charts
have brand new features including a display of the Top 40 artist songs this
week, a display of their rank last week (showing how far they have climbed or
dropped), and a display of how many days they have appeared on the charts much
like the Billboard Charts we know today, but more focused on the Independent
artists of the South. The MemphisRap.com music charts, doesn't display the
artists with the highest soundscan sales, but yet displays the artists that
are fans favorite.

Mr. Del - Gettin down wit da King of da Holy South

November 22, 2005 - (Memphis, TN) - It has been 5 years since Delmar 'Mr. Del'
Lawrence (formerly of recording label Hypnotize Minds) left platinum recording
group Three Six Mafia and dropped his first album "Enter The Light" on his very
own Holy South label, and you thought he was out the game? Never that! Del has
since dropped six albums plus his newest release "The Future" which hit stores
8/2/05 and in it's third week attained a #15 ranking on BillBoard Magazine's Top
Gospel Chart with hot production from Atl's Canton Jones, himself, and Organized
Noise who have produced groups like Outkast and Goodie Mob. Mr Del recently spoke
with MemphisRap.com about his life and ministry, recording label and artists and
what's in store for 'The Future'.

Three 6 Mafia - Most Known Unknown
Hypnotize Minds/Columbia/Sony - 2005

DJ Paul has sort of a good point on the intro to the new Three Six album,
"the Most Unknowns." Inarticulate as he may be in his argument, he's right
about one thing: The Triple-Six is one rap group that has had a tremendous
amount of influence and success in the rap game (especially in the South),
but has enjoyed little to none of the same recognition and credibility that's
been assigned to Houston artists such as Mike Jones and Atlanta artists such
as Young Jeezy.

This is a little difficult to explain. Three six has enjoyed enormous success
in Southern markets such as Birmingham, Nashville, Kentucky, and of course
Memphis, from which they hail. (Their website proudly declares that their
last album was the number one seller in Paducah, Kentucky, a fact to be proud
of for sure). So maybe its a regional thing; perhaps Three Six has been unable
to push their music beyond their traditional Southern market. This argument is
hard to buy, though, given that the group has been managed by the
nationally-reaching Violator management for the past several years.
